Merry Christmas and happy belated new year!
So its obvious that I have not updated my blog since the Jack Skellington Cake. The only excuse I have is that just the thought of editing the photos and writing a blog post scared me after the Halloween cake. What can I say I think I am still recovering from the hardships of making that cake! But that certainly doesn't mean I have been idle the entire time! In the next coming days my plan is to post what I have been up to.
Moving on from my boring monologue about how much of a procrastinator I am, lets talk about something much more interesting. SCOOBY SNACKS! I am obsessed with Scooby Doo, maybe as much as I am obsessed with chocolate, Scooby Doo is practically my childhood in a nutshell. My love for Scooby Doo is probably the reason why I am such a foodie, I mean I would love to have the metabolism that Shaggy and Scooby have, it would be a dream to be able to eat that much and maintain that body shape! But the one thing that stood out from all the food they ate was Scooby Snacks. How can dog food seem so delicious and how can they be willing to do so much for a Scooby Snack ?!??!! Well one night I had a dream about Scooby Snacks (yes I dream about food... who doesn't??!?) . And was left inspired to make these delicious biscuits.

These biscuits are not meant for dogs! (Amma if you have reached this far continue down for the recipe for the normal way to make these biscuits). So as I have stated previously my skill when it comes to baking cookies is non existent, I am useless. The only cookie that I can make without completely screwing up is Sirapskakor a Swedish cookie made flavoured with syrup. I am using Swedish Ljus Sirap but you can use whatever is available (honey, maple syrup and golden syrup). If you don't like these cookies you can use the cookie dough recipe I used in the Cheats, Chess and Pink Checkerboard Cookies.
Preheat the oven then melt the butter and mix all the ingredients together to form a dough. I always add a little more of syrup than required since I love the flavour of syrup and because I am a FAT. So here is the way I made the Scooby Snacks. Inspired by the picture and video below. This particular Scooby Snack only appears in A Pup named Scooby Doo .
So what I did was roll out the dough in between to cling film sheets (you can also do this with wax paper), to prevent it from sticking to my hands the rolling pin and the counter. Then I used the edge of a piping tip to make three half moon indents in the dough. This was a bit difficult at first but once you get the hang of it it is really easy. If you wan't to skip this step and just make your own cookie cutter, follow Feast of Fiction's video. I then placed it on a tray and baked it for 10 minutes.
So just want to make the cookie and don't care about the Scooby Snacks part this is how you do it (Amma this is the technique you should follow make sure to put your cookies in the oven for 5 minutes ONLY otherwise they will get burnt).
Start of by forming the dough into long narrow sausage shapes, then put them in a preheated oven for 10 minutes. While they are still hot cut them into small angular pieces. Then let the cookies cool.
And then serve!

Once you are done with the box place the Scooby Snacks inside the box and enjoy! ( Ok so maybe I forgot the c in Scooby , but shhhh don't tell anyone!)
